Cloei AI Limited

Terms of Use

Version 1.0 ·

These terms govern your use of cloei.ai and any demonstration we make available on it. Please read them before using the site.

Did a business message you using Cloei? If you received a text, WhatsApp or web chat message from a company and want to know who contacted you or ask them to stop, go straight to section 4. You do not need to read the rest of this page.

1. Who we are

cloei.ai is operated by CLOEI AI LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales.

Company number16688827
Registered officeReedham House, 31 King Street West, Manchester, M3 2PJ, United Kingdom
ICO registrationZC240937

Cloei provides AI-powered conversational technology that businesses use to communicate with their own customers.

2. Accepting these terms

By using cloei.ai you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website only. If your organisation buys services from us, that relationship is governed by a separate Services Agreement, including the applicable Order Form and Terms & Conditions, together with our Data Processing Agreement — see section 11.

3. What this site is for

This site provides information about Cloei and our services, and allows you to contact us, request a demonstration, or apply for a role. It is aimed at businesses.

Nothing on this site is an offer to enter into a contract, and nothing on it is advice — legal, financial, regulatory or otherwise. Do not rely on anything here as a substitute for advice about your own situation.

4. If you were contacted by a business using Cloei

Businesses use our technology to message their own customers and enquirers. When that happens, the business decides who is contacted and why — not Cloei. We handle the message on their behalf.

How to stop being contacted

  • Reply STOP to a text or WhatsApp message, or use the opt-out instruction in the message. This is the fastest route.
  • Or contact the business named in the message directly.
  • If neither works, email us at support@cloei.ai and we will pass your request to the business and help them action it.

Talking to an AI

Our assistants tell you they are automated at the start of a conversation, and will confirm they are an AI if you ask. You can ask to speak to a person at any point.

AI systems can occasionally get things wrong. Nothing an assistant tells you overrides the terms, quotes or decisions issued by the business you are dealing with.

Your data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and what rights you have. If you want to complain about how your data has been handled, use our data protection complaints form. We will acknowledge any complaint within 30 days.

5. Demonstrations and trials

Any demonstration on this site is provided free, as a sample of how the technology works, and is not a service you can rely on. We may change, limit or withdraw it at any time.

Please do not enter real personal data about yourself or anyone else into a demonstration. Do not enter payment details, passwords, health information, or anything confidential.

Conversations with a demonstration are recorded so we can improve the service. We keep them for six months. How we handle that data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site or any demonstration unlawfully, or to break any regulation that applies to you;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our systems or any account;
  • introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, or use automated tools to access the site beyond ordinary search engine indexing;
  • attempt to extract prompts, models or system instructions from a demonstration, or reverse engineer how it works;
  • use the site or a demonstration to build or benchmark a competing product;
  • submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or infringes anyone else's rights; or
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection with any person or organisation.

We may restrict or withdraw access to the site if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.

7. Our content

We own, or are licensed to use, everything on this site — text, design, graphics, logos and software. You may view, download and print pages for your own business use or to evaluate our services.

You must not reproduce, republish or exploit any part of the site commercially without our written permission, and you must not remove any copyright or trade mark notice.

"Cloei" and our logo are our trade marks. You may not use them without permission.

8. Accuracy and availability

We take care over the content of this site, but we do not promise it is accurate, complete or up to date. Case studies, metrics and performance figures describe particular deployments and are not a promise of what you would achieve.

We do not promise the site will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.

Where we link to a third-party site, it is for information only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Our responsibility to you

This site is provided free of charge, and this section limits what we are responsible for.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that:

  • We exclude all conditions, warranties and terms implied by law, to the fullest extent permitted.
  • We are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the site.
  • We are not liable for any loss caused by a virus or other harmful material you may encounter through the site or anything linked from it.

If you are using the site as a consumer rather than in the course of business, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, and the exclusions above apply only so far as the law allows.

11. If you are a Cloei customer

These terms govern the website only. Our services are provided under a separate Services Agreement, including the applicable Order Form and Terms & Conditions, together with our Data Processing Agreement. Where that agreement applies, it takes precedence over these website terms.

To request a copy of the applicable Services Agreement or a signed Data Processing Agreement, email support@cloei.ai.

12. Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

cloei.ai does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work and to keep it secure. If that changes, we will update the Privacy Policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a revised version here. The version and date at the top of this page tell you when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
